Travelling Bricks Welcomes More Than 5,000 Visitors in Its First Six Days at Peterborough Cathedral

Peterborough, UK – 30 July 2026 – Travelling Bricks has welcomed more than 5,000 visitors in its first six days at Peterborough Cathedral, exceeding the venue’s initial expectations.

Presented by World Touring Exhibitions, the exhibition opened on 18 July 2026 and has attracted families from Peterborough and the surrounding region.

Created from more than one million LEGO® bricks, Travelling Bricks explores the history of transport through Land, Sea, Air and Space. It features 120 models across 60 scenes, including a 7.2-metre Titanic, a three-metre rocket, a Boeing 747, HMS Victory and SS Great Britain.

The experience also includes an interactive area with more than 200,000 LEGO® bricks, together with Giant Soft Bricks Playland for younger visitors.

Peterborough Cathedral has reported an extremely positive response, with families spending time building, playing and exploring the historic venue together. According to the Cathedral, the increase in visitors is also bringing additional footfall into Peterborough city centre.

The exhibition’s successful opening has received coverage from the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce, Peterborough Telegraph and MSN. The Cathedral has also shared positive reviews from visitors across its social media channels.
